Our Story
The Thirties is a Quebec-based swimwear brand founded in 2020, now led by three women: Geneviève Forgues Lapointe, Véronique Péloquin and Yanique Fillion. Three entrepreneurs with different backgrounds, united by a common vision: to create swimsuits that combine comfort, quality and confidence, so that every woman can truly enjoy her moments in swimwear.
Our philosophy is expressed through our mantra: Have less. Be more. Choosing quality over quantity, and focusing on what really matters: well-being and confidence.
Behind the Brand
Geneviève Forgues Lapointe — Founder & President
A former accountant for large corporations, Geneviève chose to reinvent her career to follow her passion: fashion. After launching her first children’s clothing brand, Les Petites Natures, she founded The Thirties in 2020. A mother of two, she balances family life with managing the brand’s operations. Her loyalty and sense of commitment shine through both in her personal life and in her leadership role. Passionate about big projects, she loves turning ideas into reality and seeing them through to the finish. Since 2024, Geneviève has devoted herself exclusively to The Thirties.
Véronique Péloquin — Partner
An art director and graphic designer by training, Véronique built her career as a freelancer for major companies before moving to Europe in 2015. Present from Geneviève’s very first creative projects, she contributed to Les Petites Natures and was involved from the very beginning of The Thirties, where her creative imprint naturally took shape. Passionate about design, typography and attention to detail, she is distinguished by her perfectionism and the trust she inspires. A mother of two, she now works remotely and brings her creative expertise to the brand, shaping The Thirties’ visual and aesthetic universe alongside Geneviève and Yanique.
Yanique Fillion — Partner
A well-known photographer in Quebec, Yanique first collaborated on Les Petites Natures before becoming fully involved in The Thirties adventure. Gentle, sensitive and highly rigorous in her artistic approach, she brings her expertise in both photography and video to the brand. Her images have played a key role in building The Thirties’ growing reputation. A mother of two boys, she works remotely and contributes to the brand’s growth through her talent and vision.

At The Thirties, we believe a swimsuit should not only be a garment, but also a tool for confidence and freedom. Our mission is to create pieces in which women feel beautiful, comfortable, and ready to fully enjoy every moment in swimwear.
Our swimsuits are fully lined to ensure optimal support and unmatched comfort. Aware of the diversity of women’s bodies, we design styles intended to suit as many silhouettes as possible, so that every woman can find a cut in which she feels good.
All our swimsuits are designed and manufactured in Canada, crafted by skilled seamstresses and specialists in garment making. We carefully select premium materials, including recycled textiles such as nylon and Lycra, to create durable, long-lasting, and environmentally conscious pieces. This commitment reflects our dedication to sustainable swimwear.
We strive for balance between timeless cuts and seasonal color palettes, with rich, warm tones in winter and luminous pastels in summer.
Our vision is simple: to become a reference in Canadian swimwear, recognized for our expertise in achieving the perfect fit and for our commitment to offering products that combine comfort, aesthetics and responsibility.
